A society called Kihin Kwai (Welcome Society), having its head office in Tokyo, affords facilities to travellers by obtaining permits for various institutions and other sights. 6. - Posts; Telegraphs; Banks. The Imperial Japanese Post and Telegraph services are organised on the European model. Letters and papers can be forwarded with safety to the different stages of a journey. The Post-Office Order and Parcel Post systems will also be found useful. In most towns of any size the Post and Telegraph Offices are combined.
